External Partnerships

EmPOWERment welcomes and encourages participation from external partners to the Ohio State University. External energy partners are the driving force behind the EmPOWERment program which at its core is a workforce training program aimed at preparing students for both academic and non-academic careers in the energy-sector.

EmPOWERment engages external partners to identify energy-sector needs in designing the training program, defining research questions, and co-creating solutions to real-world sustainable energy problems.

Current partners include: ENGIE, American Electric Power (AEP), First Solar, Huntington Bank, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Ohio Energy Project (OEP), Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, Siemens, Whiting-Turner, and Worthington Industries.

Companies interested in partnering with EmPOWERment are encouraged to reach out to Kari Roth at roth.570@osu.edu
